The Sophie Lancaster Foundation – Resources for Sept.2016
Mashup Derby have been working in a number of school over the past few months. As part of our working relationship with Derby Homes, we took part in a campaign that looked at hate crime and how it is has been historically dealt with by the police.
As part of the training that was delivered we took a handful of our Junior Wardens to watch a theater screening of “Black Roses” which tells the story of Sophie Lancaster.
The Q&A and film were hard hitting with the resource pack training being delivered by the mother of the murdered teenager, Sylvia Lancaster. With a hard hitting resource pack in our possession, Mashup Derby will be delivering the message on hate crime to school across the city.
